In 2022 we had our last home bull sale. After long discussions and lots of thought, we decided to join 44 Farms. With so many bull producers offering buyback programs, 44 farms seemed like a good fit. Purchasing bulls from 44 Farms gives the customer another bidder for their calves at the sale barn. The program that 44 Farms is offering is called Prime Pursuits. Yes, there are requirements that the customer has to meet, like most buyback programs. Jeff and I are looking at the years we have ahead of us and want to be able to do some other things. We have always enjoyed breeding, raising cattle, and selling bulls, and wanted to keep that in our lives. Jeff loves to pick out the matings every year. Looking at the new sires that are rising to the top and finding that perfect mating. It’s always exciting to watch that calf grow and see what they mature out to be. We will always raise top-quality bulls. That WON’T change!

Our bulls sell on the 44 Farms sale in February. Bulls that sell in February are weaned and here till November 1. These bulls are our early spring-born and our fall-born bulls that will be yearlings when they sell. We will also keep some of the later-born bulls here to sell as private treaty bulls.
